Stats define how a monster performs in battle. There are 7 main stats present on each monster: Attack, Defense, Magic, Resistance, Speed, HP and Vitality.
Base Stats
These 7 main stats are called the base stats of a monster. Each of these stats, except for Vitality, is scaled upon entering battle to their true value. This true value can be seen to the right of the stat's Overclock section in the Teambuilder.
Attack
Attack, abbreviated ATK, is a stat used when determining the damage dealt by Physical moves.
Defense
Defense, abbreviated DEF, is a stat used when determining the damage dealt by Physical moves. Defense is also used to determine the value of the critical meter after using a critical attack.
Magic
Magic, abbreviated MAG, is a stat used when determining the damage dealt by Magical moves.
Resistance
Resistance, abbreviated RES, is a stat used when determining the damage dealt by Magical moves. Resistance is also used to determine the value of the critical meter after using a critical status move.
Speed
Speed, appreviated SPD, is the stat used when determining which monster moves first.
HP
HP (in battle) or Max HP/MHP (In general) is the health of a monster and determines how much damage it can take before it is knocked out.
Vitality
Vitality, abbreviated VIT, describes the pool of points a monster can use to make moves. The moves have an Effort Point cost associated that is subtracted from a monster's Vitality. If a monster has no Vitality remaining, or does not possess enough to select any of their moves, the monster will be forced to use Desperation Attacks (unless switched to another).
Secondary Stats
Secondary stats are stats that have a less prominent or more specific role in battle.
Critical rate
Critical rate is, as the name suggests, the rate at which a monster can build critical points. For most monsters it is 1, but certain traits or moves can increase this.
Star Sign
A monster's star sign is a tertiary typing that is associated with it. This typing can be manipulated. It does not factor into damage multipliers like a monster's primary and secondary typings do. A monster's star sign is listed in the Teambuilder underneath the Overclock section.

- The Type of monster trapped by the Trait Rivalry
- Used in the effect of the move Gene Transfer
